Abu Dhabi(News Desk):: Ahead of today’s first Diriyah Saudi Super Cup match between Al-Ittihad Club and Al Wehda FC in Abu Dhabi’s Al Nahyan Stadium, regional and global stars have been warming up for the tournament – held for the first time in an Arab country outside Saudi Arabia.
Following Al-Ittihad Club and Al Wehda FC’s kick off at 9pm local time, the highly anticipated face-off between Al Hilal SFC and Al-Nassr FC at 11:30pm local time, will be hosted in Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium, the largest football stadium in the UAE, with a 45,000-seat capacity.
Global sports fans will witness football legends Cristiano Ronaldo (33 senior career trophies) and Karim Benzema (25 senior career trophies), alongside regional talent that includes Salem Aldawsari and Abderrazak Hamdallah, across two days of on-pitch action. The final kicks off at 9:30pm local time at Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium on 11 April and will see the winners from both matches competing for the coveted cup.
The Diriyah Saudi Super Cup 2024 is the latest sports and entertainment event added to Abu Dhabi’s ‘back-to-back’ calendar.
