The Emirates Foundation contributes to the success of the Etihad Grand Prix Formula 1 in Abu Dhabi with 400 volunteers from the “Takatuf” and “Sand” programs
Al Fahim Group, the official partner of the Emirates Foundation, provided 8 luxury cars to help the volunteer teams over the course of 4 days
Abu Dhabi(News Desk)::The Emirates Foundation, in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Motor Sports Management Company, the organizer of the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Grand Prix in the capital, AbuDhabi, contributed to the success of this distinguished event through the participation of 400 volunteers from the two “Takatuf” programmes. And “Sand”, to provide support to organizers and crowd management over a period of four days from 23 to 26 November 2023.
The volunteers’ tasks included welcoming guests, answering questions from hundreds of Formula 1 visitors, and supporting people of determination, while ensuring the implementation of health and safety protocols, in addition to many other tasks.There were also 13 qualified volunteers who spoke three or more languages, which contributed to providing valuable assistance in communicating with the event’s guests coming from different parts of the world. In addition, there were volunteers who spoke American and Arabic sign language and a golf cart driving team to help the elderly.
In turn, Al Fahim Group contributed to supporting the volunteers by providing 8 luxury cars (4 Mercedes and 4 Jeeps) to enhance the experience of the VIP guests during the event.
Commenting on the efforts of the volunteer teams, His Excellency Ahmed Talib Al Shamsi, CEO of the Emirates Foundation , said : “I would like to thank all the volunteers for their tireless efforts. They have played a pivotal role in the success of this global event, and have provided an example to be followed in teamwork, which was demonstrated by the Etihad Prize Race.” To fly the Grand Prix of Formula 1 in a wonderful and distinctive way.”His Excellency added: “I express my sincere appreciation to our partners at Abu Dhabi Motor Sports Management Company for their efforts in organizing a world-class race, and to Al Fahim Group for providing luxury cars that contributed to enabling volunteers to carry out their tasks efficiently and in a manner befitting this distinguished race.
