     Abu Dhabi(News Desk)::The Abu Dhabi Social Support Authority (ADSSA) announced the launch of the “House Visit and Interviews Management System’‘, developed in partnership with e& enterprise. The initiative marks a significant milestone in ADSSA’s continuous endeavours to drive digital transformation to enhance the efficiency and impact of its social support services for limited-income families in Abu Dhabi.

    The “House Visit and Interviews Management System” is designed to help ADSSA employees streamline their field visits to beneficiary families. It provides a central interface for customers and beneficiaries, offering updated information about their requests and living conditions. The system also integrates advanced mapping technologies for precise travel planning and includes a feedback module for customers to share their visit experiences, promoting continuous service enhancement.

    His Excellency Abdulla Humaid Al Ameri, Director General of Abu Dhabi Social Support Authority, said: “At ADSSA, we are committed to adopting top-notch solutions to support the digital transformation of our administrative and field services and activities. This new system, developed in partnership with e& enterprise, incorporates the latest features of IoT & AI, marking a significant milestone in our continued efforts to improve our efficiency.     The meeting between UAEREP and the research team was held at the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI).

    Abu Dhabi(News Desk):: The UAE Research Program for Rain Enhancement Science (UAEREP) recently attended a project kick-off meeting with Professor Daniel Rosenfeld of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and his team, award recipients of the 5th UAEREP grant cycle. The kickoff meeting was held at the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI), one of the collaborating research institutions on the project.

    The team discussed the project’s research methodology, objective and timeline, as well as the National Center of Meteorology (NCM)-UAEREP evaluation and oversight mechanism,and technical support needed from NCM throughout the project duration.

    The project, led by Prof. Rosenfeld and titled "Identification of Clouds Microphysical Seedability in an Actionable Manner, seeks to develop the capability to diagnose cloud seedability in near real-time at a spatial resolution of the convective cloud cluster, based on operationally available satellite and meteorological data. Building on previous UAEREP research, this project aims to allow for concurrent assessment and guidance during cloud seeding flights. These methods are highly complementary with previous UAEREP project initiatives.

    The kick-off meeting also provided specific details for NCM regarding the research team’s various requirements, as the project will utilize machine learning procedures. Those at the meeting additionally took a tour of the MBZUAI campus and laboratory facilities, providing context for necessary technology employed within the project.

    Prof. Rosenfeld, leading expert on weather modification and climate change at the Institute of Earth Sciences, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and 5th cycle UAEREP awardee, said, “As we embark on this collaborative journey with UAEREP, our team is honored to contribute as 5 th cycle awardees and give rise to the advancement of rain enhancement  science. Through our project, we aim to develop actionable methods for identifying cloud seedability for real-time analysis, revolutionizing the way cloud seeding is performed and evaluated.

    Dr. Salman Khan, Associate Professor of Computer Vision at MBZUAI, said, “The team here at MBZUAI is honored to be part of this project with Prof. Rosenfeld and UAEREP, especially as we find new ways to integrate advanced machine learning technology with specialized weather modification techniques. This collaboration will serve to advance the methods by which we integrate artificial intelligence with climate change solutions.”

    The team, led by Prof. Rosenfeld, additionally includes researchers from esteemed institutions such as MBZUAI, the School of Remote Sensing and Information Engineering at Wuhan University, the Scripps Institution for Oceanography at the University of California San Diego, and WeatherItIs. As part of its overarching mission, UAEREP believes this project will further foster capacity building initiatives within the research community, ensuring sustained progress and knowledge exchange in the field of rain enhancement science.(- Ends -)

    Abu Dhabi/ Cairo(News Desk):: As part of its ongoing initiative to extend a heartfelt hand to the injured children from Gaza who are undergoing treatment in Egypt, Burjeel Holdings has donated aid valued at AED 2 million (USD500,000). This initiative builds on months of dedicated support by the Group to strengthen the medical facilities at the Rafah border. Beyond medical assistance, Burjeel Holdings has also unveiled a unique recreational project aimed at bringing solace to the young patients recovering at Al-Arish Hospital.
    The medical supplies, which were delivered via a special aircraft from Abu Dhabi,were received by Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health  Population, Egypt, and officials at Al-Arish International Airport. The shipment includes essential equipment to handle trauma emergency, cardiac conditions, respiratory issues, diagnostics, and critical surgeries, comprising defibrillators, anesthesia machines, X-ray machines, operating tables, BiPaps, portable ventilators, OT lights, examination lights, diagnostic sets, and various other medical consumables.
    Dr. Ghaffar thanked Burjeel Holdings for its continuing assistance. “We thank Burjeel Holdings for their support in this humanitarian mission. The help of the private sector in strengthening the collective effort is appreciated,” said the Minister.
    Bringing Smiles to Faces
    Burjeel Holdings’ recreational project is dedicated to the young children from Gaza who are recuperating at Al-Arish Hospital. Under the initiative, the recreational area established within the hospital features a dedicated video game zone designed specifically for children, alongside a vibrant play area adorned with an assortment of colorful toys, creating an engaging and cheerful environment for young patients.
    Commenting on the need to ensure the holistic health and well-being of these children and their families, Dr. Shamsheer Vayalil, Founder and Chairman, Burjeel Holdings, said, “We remain committed to strengthening medical infrastructure in times of crises.     The collaboration includes exploring various initiatives and projects concerning Yahsat’s planned D2D ecosystem to enable voice, texting, and data satellite connectivity for standard smartphones. Through this partnership, e& UAE and Yahsat will work together on a range of innovative projects aimed at revolutionizing satellite connectivity.

    Initiative aims to enhance skills of social support beneficiaries in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain in collaboration with Knowledge Group Consulting

     

    Abu Dhabi(News Desk):: The Abu Dhabi Social Support Authority (SSA) hosted the graduation ceremony for the fourth cohort of beneficiaries from Abu Dhabi and Al Ain enrolled in the program empowering them to develop key skills. Conducted in collaboration with Knowledge Group Consulting, a leader in vocational training and education, the program, now in its fourth edition, aimed to equip beneficiaries with essential skills to enter and compete in the job market. The graduation ceremonies took place at Abu Dhabi University campuses in both Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.

    As part of the ceremony, the Authority celebrated the graduation of 138 graduates from families benefiting from its social support programs. Over the course of eight weeks, the graduates participated in a diverse array of expert-led lectures and training workshops totaling 225 hours, covering English language proficiency, essential workplace skills, information technology, project management, CV preparation and interview skills. This brought the total number of beneficiaries who completed the program to 453 by the end of the fourth cohort.

    In the presence of the graduates’ families, His Excellency Abdulla Al Ameri, Director General of Abu Dhabi Social Support Authority, along with SSA executive directors, presented certificates of program completion to the graduates. The program provided them with an opportunity to improve their present and future prospects through hard work and perseverance, enabling them to secure a sustainable source of income.

    His Excellency Abdulla Al Ameri said: “At SSA, we continue to build productive partnerships within our social safety network to fulfil the aspirations of Abu Dhabi’s social sector, while empowering beneficiary family members based on their individual needs and capabilities. Today, the empowerment programs offered by the Authority have become a launching pad for many beneficiaries to enter the job market, and we are keen to diversify our offerings and align them with the job market requirements to enhance their chances of securing permanent employment. We extend our best wishes to the graduates of this batch, and encourage them to continue their positive participation to achieve family stability and financial independence, thereby building a more successful and prosperous future.”

    For his part, His Excellency Qasim Al Hashimi, Executive Director of Beneficiary Affairs at SSA, said: “We congratulate all graduates and their families for their commitment and diligent efforts in improving their skills and capabilities.     Last year, Burjeel in partnership with Leejam Sports Company, launched the first four PhysioTherabia
    centers in Riyadh, a cutting-edge physiotherapy, rehabilitation and wellness network to promote holistic
    health and wellbeing within the community. These new centers offer unparalleled services within Leejams
    Fitness Time facilities, tailored to meet diverse wellness needs. It furthers the goal of integrating
    preventive rehabilitation and fitness through a unique gym-based model.

    PhysioTherabia has also embarked on a strategic partnership with Tawuniya, a leading insurance
    company in Saudi Arabia. This collaboration strengthens PhysioTherabia’s ability to provide high-quality
    services and expands its reach to a broader clientele, particularly within the insurance market. The
    partnership is expected to drive revenue growth and solidify PhysioTherabia’s position as a key player in
    the sector.
