Abu Dhabi Police organizes the fifth forum for the International Human Rights Day.

AbuDhabi(News Desk)::The Legal Affairs Directorate of the Leadership Affairs Sector of Abu Dhabi Police organized the fifth virtual forum coinciding with the International Human Rights Day, which falls on December 10th annually, as part of its efforts to spread and consolidate the culture of human rights and adherence to the requirements of international agreements signed and ratified by the United Arab Emirates.

Brigadier Abdul Wahab Ibrahim Al Hosani, Director of the Legal Affairs Directorate, said: “Today, we join national and international institutions in celebrating the International Human Rights Day under the slogan ‘Our Rights, Our Future, Immediately’, explaining that the campaign of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights this year focused on the fact that human rights are the path to solutions, as they play a crucial role and constitute a preventive, protective and transformative force for good, especially in times of crisis.”

The forum focused on highlighting the efforts and excellence of a number of its members in the field of police work, with the participation of a number of speakers, including retirees and a number of exceptional female cadres from the Women’s Police Affairs Office who have influenced the police work system, and from the Weapons and Explosives Department, the Q7 Department, and the K9 Security Inspection Department..

At the conclusion of the forum, Major Amal Khamis Al Yamahi, Head of the Human Rights Affairs Department, stressed the interest of the Abu Dhabi Police in continuing its efforts in accordance with the UAE’s approach to protecting and establishing a culture of human rights in order to preserve human rights first and foremost, and to adhere to the requirements of international agreements in accordance with police work.
