Pakistan 75th Independence Day Celebration
Abu Dhabi(Urduweekly):: The Pakistan Business Professional Council (PBPC) Abu Dhabi organized the Pakistan Independence at Alliott Office, Abu Dhabi.The Event started with a recitation of the Holy Quran by Mr. Shahab Uddin, followed by playing the National Anthem, UAE and Pakistan, respectively.
President of Pakistan Business Professional Council Abu Dhabi,Dr. Syed Qaiser Anis, welcomes and acknowledges the Honorable Guests, Board members, Council’s members, and friends. Highlighting the historic day of Pakistan and paying homage to the Founding Father of Pakistan whose services and sacrifices led to the creation of a separate homeland for the Muslims of the subcontinent.
“Government of Pakistan is making extraordinary efforts in promoting tourism. The Council’s recent conferences with the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation in collaboration with the Austria-Pakistan Association, we further promoted tourism in Pakistan and presented Pakistan as a land of Adventure and Nature, and continuously working under the MOU between the PTDC and the Council” Dr. Qaiser said.In his remarks, he emphasized that the United Arab Emirates has played a vital role in supporting the economics of Pakistan and that Pakistan is the largest trading partner. Further UAE had invested in Pakistan in various fields – Banking, telecommunications, agriculture and property development. Dr. Qaiser highlighted the contributions made by the Late H.H. Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nhayn, Former President of the UAE – 60 School in Pakistan, established the UAE-Pakistan Assistance Programs, a total of 131 projects built worth of $365 million dollars, the famous Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Road and Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan bridge, and even launches clean water project and vaccination programs. Pakistan has and will always be full of gratitude to the Great leader.
Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, H.E. Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, and the Council’s Patron-in-Chief, gave a message at the ceremony, felicitated the Ambassador, His Excellences’ and Pakistani diaspora on the auspicious occasion.In his message, “this evening, we are celebrating Pakistan’s impressive progress in all fields of human endeavor. This is a celebration of Pakistan’s commitment to provide peace, prosperity for all the citizens. This is also a celebration of strong and brotherly relations between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates.”
The event was attended by the Business Councils – Madam Noeleen Saeed, President Irish Business Council, Mr. Dhia Hussain, Chairman Canadian Business Council and Mr. Christian Redual, Board Member of Philippine Business Council, and other business councils. Also addressed by the PBPC Abu Dhabi Board Members and members of Pakistani Community whose works and dedication contributed for the betterment of Pakistan, Mr. Badar Uz Zaman, Mr. Asif Zaman, Dr. Muhammad Farhan and Mr. Shahab Uddin.
At the end, a cake cutting ceremony was held, and the President thanked the Members, Guests and the community members for their participation in the event as well as for their contribution in strengthening Pakistan’s relations with UAE and projecting the soft and true image of Pakistan.The event concluded with a word of thanks by Mr. Mohd. Iqbal Nasim, VP Programme of PBPC Abu Dhabi.
