Abu Dhabi Police showcases digital awareness projects at UAE Innovates 2025

AbuDhabi(News Desk)::The Traffic and Security Patrols Directorate of Abu Dhabi Police showcased its advanced innovative projects in the fields of digital awareness and modern traffic patrols at the (Emirates Innovates 2025) exhibition, which was organized at Yas Mall in Abu Dhabi as part of its participation in the UAE Innovation Month.

Major Ahmed Abdullah Al Muhairi, Director of the Smart Traffic Robots Project at the Traffic and Security Patrols Directorate, presented a workshop to the public about the traffic robots project and its efforts to raise awareness of the importance of adhering to traffic laws and regulations through digital awareness traffic videos, responding to public inquiries, providing traffic advice and educational lectures.

He added that the humanoid robot, Saqr, provides accurate and quick details on traffic awareness in several different situations such as road closures, congestion and accidents, speed reductions, and changing weather conditions. It provides answers to their questions on many traffic awareness topics about the dangers of being distracted from the road, traffic advice, the importance of safe driving, and urges them to adhere to traffic laws and regulations.

The attendees watched, through the main event screen, the Directorate’s innovation in raising awareness of the objectives of the (Road Safety Game), which provides a good educational environment in traffic education for youth and school students, with their passion for playing purposeful electronic games that achieve traffic awareness objectives and include the appearance of a traffic policeman on the roads while performing his duties. The game runs on a computer ( PC).It is a simulation of real life and teaches players how to behave correctly and drive safely on the roads.

The director of the smart traffic robots project explained that the aim of the electronic games is to educate them and increase their awareness of what is happening on the roads and to familiarize them with the tasks of traffic officers and their role in enhancing their safety.

The Abu Dhabi Police Music Band, affiliated with the Protocol and Public Relations Department, presented a group of its national and enthusiastic musical pieces, to the admiration of the visitors. The Happiness Patrol participated in promoting and spreading positivity.

The audience of families and children at Yas Mall expressed their happiness and pride in the Emirati game, which carries purposeful content within the ongoing efforts of Abu Dhabi Police to create a safe environment on the roads, protect drivers and road users from the painful consequences of traffic accidents and reduce them through commitment and safe, responsible driving.
