Abu Dhabi Police implements the “You Are Efficient” initiative for people of determination

AbuDhabi(News Desk)::Abu Dhabi Police implemented an awareness event entitled “You Are Efficient” for people of determination at KidZania, the children’s city, in Yas Mall in Abu Dhabi, coinciding with the International Day of People of Determination, with the aim of providing support to people of determination, increasing community awareness of their issues, caring for them, and ensuring their rights.

Brigadier Dr. Hamoud Saeed Al Afari, Director of the Community Police Department in the Criminal Security Sector, stressed: Abu Dhabi Police’s interest in making society happy and supporting community and humanitarian initiatives, in an effort to achieve its goals in empowering people of determination by creating a positive environment that supports their educational, employment and awareness needs, achieving their social integration and consolidating their presence and positive participation in various events in a way that enhances their confidence in themselves and those around them, pointing to the ongoing cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Autism Center and supporting its efforts to integrate people of determination into community institutions, educate them and make them happy.

The event focused on entertaining children with disabilities, enhancing social integration for this group, breaking the barrier of fear, providing psychological and social support, and enhancing their confidence in themselves and those around them, through visiting the amusement park, which includes several educational areas concerned with providing children with life skills.

The International Day of People of Determination is celebrated on December 3 of each year with the aim of providing support to people of determination, increasing community awareness of their issues, understanding the issues of people of determination, supporting and ensuring their rights, and enhancing interest in innovative measures that would develop and activate international standards and rules related to people of determination, and raising awareness of the extent of the benefits and gains resulting from integrating people of determination into aspects of community life.
