International Women’s Day” is an important occasion to celebrate women’s achievements in various sectors and fields said by Her Excellency Moza Al Otaiba.

Her Excellency Moza bint Saeed Al Otaiba, Chairperson and Founder of Al Otaiba Inma Group, clarified that the celebration of International Women’s Day, which falls on March 8 of each year, is an important occasion to celebrate the immortal heritage that was established by the values ​​of the late ,founding father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan,who was at the forefront of supporting Emirati women and providing them with means of empowerment in society, in addition to appreciating the efforts and support provided by Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Emirates”, President of the General Women’s Union, Supreme President of the Family Development Foundation, President of the Supreme Council of Motherhood and Childhood.
On this occasion, Moza Al-Otaiba said: “International Women’s Day is an occasion in which the world celebrates the achievements of women in various sectors and fields. Since the establishment of the Unite Arab Emirates Federation 50 years ago, UAE has made great strides in the field of empowering women at all levels of society and fields of work. The efforts and vision of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan – may his soul rest in peace – have played a major role in achieving these gains for the benefit of women, and providing all opportunities that realize the aspirations and hopes of Emirati women, as today they occupy the most important and highest positions in the country, and contribute alongside men in sustainable development process of the country. Moza Al-Otaiba added: “On this occasion, appreciation and pride must be to Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Emirates” and her path full of giving to serve women’s issues and empower them, and for the values ​​and principles that Her Highness presented that support their development in societies at the local, regional and international levels. In 2015, it was declared that August 28 of every year as Emirati Women’s Day in appreciation of their pivotal and effective role in the development of the country and its contribution to its growth .
She said: “Her Highness also played an important and prominent role in establishing the Abu Dhabi Women’s Association, which played a major role in rehabilitating women and girls, spreading education and eradicating illiteracy, rehabilitating and empowering them, to fulfill the role entrusted to them in community service and advancing the wheel of growth and development .” The United Arab Emirates”.
Al-Otaiba continued by saying: “His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai – may God protect him – played a prominent and significant role in promoting the presence of women in leadership positions, as they were prominently present in the Council of Ministers and important positions in Government institutions and diplomatic bodies as ambassadors and consuls, giving them confidence in their activities and work, which enabled them to perform their role in an appropriate manner.
She said: “His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, has also supported Emirati women through his initiatives and efforts to support and enhance women’s activities in various sectors and fields in the country, which had a clear impact in enhancing the status of women and their prominent and remarkable activity.
She concluded by saying: “The UAE leadership has invested in women, who are involved in all sectors by supporting and qualifying them to be able and effective in society, and women play an important and prominent role alongside men in various fields.”
