    Dubai:(Press Release)::Commercial Bank of Dubai (CBD) today reported its financial results for the first six months of 2021.Commercial Bank of Dubai has delivered a net profit of AED 676 million for the first half of 2021, up 27.5% against the first half of 2020. Improved operating performance coupled with lower expected credit losses have supported the growth in net profit. Despite the continuous decline in interbank interest rates, net interest income is up by 8.7% compared to H1 2020 primarily from lower funding costs and strong business growth. The increase in business activity was reflective of the economic recovery which positively impacted fees and commission income.

    Commenting on the bank’s performance, Dr. Bernd van Linder, Chief Executive Officer said, “CBD has delivered an improved set of results with the bank’s net profit increasing by 27% compared to the first half of 2020. The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has been managed admirably by the UAE, enabling the community and businesses to move forward positively and with confidence. Looking ahead, we remain hopeful that the pandemic situation continues to improve globally, enabling improved health and economic conditions for all.”He added, “Against this backdrop, CBD has reached a record AED 113b in assets driven by strong growth in loans, which have increased 17% compared to H1 2020. Overall, our net profit was AED 676 million, above the prior comparative period on the back of improved net interest income, higher commission and fee income, and moderately lower expected credit losses.”We remain committed to supporting personal, business and government customers across the UAE, providing seamless market leading banking experiences for all our customers.”

    AbuDhabi(Press Release)::The Emirati company “G20” signed a strategic partnership agreement with the American company PharmXGen, so that “G20” will be the exclusive agent to supply and distribute in the Middle East and North Africa the newest Rapid Antigen tests in the world. The agreement was signed by His Excellency Dr. Mubarak Hamad Marzouq Al Ameri, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirati G20 company, and Mr. Bill Henwood, President of the American company PharmXGen, at the headquarter of the G20 Company in Abu Dhabi.

    On this occasion, his Excellency Dr. Mubarak Hamad Marzouq Al Ameri said: “We are very pleased to cooperate with the American company PharmXGen, and we will be the exclusive agent for the company’s innovative intranasal Rapid Antigen tests, as they achieve speed in showing the test results in a period of time ranging from 3-10 minutes as a maximum, with a 100% efficiency. These tests have been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration, and they are used in the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Germany and a number of countries in the world.

    Dr. Al-Ameri added: “The new screening tests are very important since they are the fastest in showing the results, whether negative or positive. In fact, the results appear in a maximum of 10 minutes, which allows a rapid gradual return to normal life. Indeed, the new tests will help organizing events and activities and speeding up entry to government and private institutions and facilities, whether airports, hospitals, or the headquarters of institutions and departments.” Dr. Al Ameri explained that the speed of obtaining quick results will give the individuals more confidence and security, and help them to follow the precautionary measures established by the concerned authorities, which promotes a sense of confidence, and allows work and movement in a safe environment. In this regard, if the concerned airlines give some concessions to the importers, the price of other seasonal fruits especially Mangoes will come down. Engineer Mohammad Javed, CEO of Ajniha Electromechanical Company, said that if the United Arab Emirates builds a Charity  hospital in Pakistan or any other country, Our company will provide free consulting, designing and technical services .

    Ten Sports Management (TSM) and Abu Dhabi Cricket (ADC) have announced the much anticipated dates for the fifth edition of the highly popular Abu Dhabi T10 cricket spectacular. The tournament, which this year will be held over 15 days, will run from November 19 – December 4 taking in the extended public holiday weekend scheduled to celebrate the UAE’s 50th National Day which falls on December 2nd.
    The 2021 Abu Dhabi T10, the fifth season following cricket’s fastest (ten-overs-a-side) format,will feature an increased number of 90-minute matches played over the planned 15 days, as opposed to 10 days in previous seasons.

Customers who purchase pre-owned vehicles from AutoCentral will access the centre’s services across its branches in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The new used cars showroom will complement AutoCentral’s service centre offerings, thereby delivering seamless customer journeys and presenting buyers with a holistic experience, from sales to aftersales, to ensure their complete satisfaction.
