Abu Dhabi Police Survey: “Road Safety” Tops Community Concern.
AbuDhabi(News Desk)::“Road Safety” topped the community’s interest in a poll conducted by Abu Dhabi Police in both Arabic and English to determine the most important “digital content” during the year 2024 for followers of its accounts on social media. The poll revealed the public’s preference for Instagram as the most popular social media platform through which they follow Abu Dhabi Police’s media content.
The survey showed the public’s interest in content related to road safety and enhancing traffic safety published by Abu Dhabi Police accounts on social media.
Brigadier Mohammed Ali Al Muhairi, Director of the Security Media Department, Command Affairs Sector, stressed that Abu Dhabi Police’s interest in conducting opinion polls comes within its ongoing efforts to develop the content of its daily messages via its social media accounts in line with the priorities and interests of society.He added that the public’s interaction with the surveys confirms the community’s response to the media messages and regular campaigns published by Abu Dhabi Police to enhance drivers’ awareness of traffic regulations and laws, encourage positive behaviors among road users, and warn against violations and negative behaviors, as part of its goals to enhance the safety of road users.
He pointed out that Abu Dhabi Police provides daily news services through its media channels, in addition to awareness messages and proactive warning alerts about emergency situations on the roads, around the clock, confirming the partnership between the police and the community, to enhance the security and safety of all.
Lieutenant Colonel Khalifa Abdullah Al Obaidli, Director of the Social Communication Centre at the Security Media Department, confirmed that the results of the survey showed the importance of the Instagram platform for followers, as it is the best for them in following the media content of the Abu Dhabi Police, followed by the X platform (formerly Twitter) and Facebook.
He explained that the Security Media Department, in coordination with its Social Media Center, prepares materials including news, reports, interviews and broadcasts awareness videos in accordance with the highest levels of professionalism and under the supervision of creative national cadres who are keen to keep pace with events and deliver purposeful messages, in addition to enriching social media platforms with new, useful and purposeful content.
He pointed out that Abu Dhabi Police has employed social media in the security field in a systematic manner within the framework of approved policies for its use and the policy of the official spokesperson, which has contributed to achieving the optimal investment for it and unifying the institution’s voice in the media, explaining that the visual material is being intensified by targeting the category of UAE citizens through their favorite Instagram platform and increasing communication with foreign nationalities through the Facebook platform and paying attention to the news material in “X” with a focus on digital content that is interesting to the public.
He stated that the results of the survey play a major role in determining the indicators of media work for the next stage during the new year 2025 by focusing on the platforms most popular with the public, which enhances the reach of media awareness messages to the largest segment of society through social media platforms in general.
